Baby Loss Awareness Week
Pregnancy and baby loss, whether miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death, affects one in four pregnancies. It is a painful and isolating experience, and though surprisingly common, still one of the hardest to talk about. Loss in pregnancy and stillbirth can be described as ambiguous loss - because it is the loss of the dreams and expectations that existed in the minds and hearts of the parents – a private reality that begins at the moment of a positive pregnancy test. This can be difficult to express and share with others.
At Chana, we provide specialist emotional support to individuals and couples affected by pregnancy and baby loss, at every stage.
If you or someone close to you has experienced loss and would like support, please get in touch. Chana is here to help.
