Support Worker

Sharonie is a Chana Support Worker and has degrees in Education and Psychology as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and in couples and psychosexual therapy.

She has worked for a wide variety of educational and special needs organisations where she supported both children and parents to understand and come to term with various special needs and learning difficulties. Sharonie also works with individuals and couples in the areas of relationship difficulties, sexual disfunction, infertility, generalised depression and anxiety, as well as trauma and abuse.

Within Chana, Sharonie helps clients understand and work through intimacy challenges helping them deal with particular anxieties such as the physical aspects of their relationship as well as issues pertaining to the Mikvah.

She supports couples and individuals, both male and female, work through infertility difficulties, helping them deal with feelings of despair, anger, hope and fear. She also supports couples who have experienced loss as a result of miscarriage and stillbirth.

Sharonie also has a private practice, working with a range of clients particularly from the Chassidic community where she helps with culturally specific challenges.
