Flights are the only thing you need to arrange yourself.
You are free to choose the airline and flight times that work best for you.
We recommend flying into Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO), Rome's main international airport.
If you'd like to arrive in time to collect your marathon bib and visit the Expo on Friday, we recommend booking a morning flight on Friday 12 March.
This gives you plenty of time to arrive, collect your luggage, travel into Rome, check in and make your way to the Expo without feeling rushed.
For reference, Shabbat begins in Rome at approximately 5:54pm on Friday 12 March 2027.
🏃 Marathon Expo & Bib Collection
The Run Rome The Marathon Expo Village at Circus Maximus (Circo Massimo) is approximately 1-1.5 km (0.6–0.9 miles) from our accommodation in the Jewish Ghetto, around a 15-20 minute walk.
This is where runners collect their bib and race pack, as well as soak up the excitement and atmosphere ahead of marathon day.
Please note: the Expo is not open on Sunday 14 March, so runners will need to collect their bib before race day.
The Friday Expo hours are expected to be 9:00am-8:00pm. Final timings will be confirmed by the marathon organisers nearer the time.
If you would like to collect your bib on Friday before Shabbat, we recommend booking a morning flight to allow plenty of time for your journey, check-in and Expo visit.
🏨 STAY IN ROME'S HISTORIC JEWISH GHETTO
Our accommodation will be in the historic Jewish Ghetto of Rome, giving us a wonderful base for the weekend.
You'll be surrounded by Jewish history, heritage, beautiful streets, restaurants and some of Rome's most famous sights.
It's also ideally located for marathon weekend.
✡️ FRIDAY 12 MARCH - ARRIVE & SHABBAT
Arrive in Rome, settle into the accommodation and, if you wish, collect your marathon bib and experience the Expo.
Then we'll come together for a beautiful Friday night dinner.
For anyone who would like to attend Shabbat prayers at the local shul, we can arrange registration in advance, giving you the opportunity to join the local Jewish community and experience Shabbat in Rome.
✡️ SATURDAY 13 MARCH - SHABBAT & ROME
Enjoy a relaxed Shabbat, including Shabbat lunch.
Take the opportunity to unwind, enjoy wonderful food and good company, and soak up the atmosphere of Rome before the big day.
If you'd like to join the local Jewish community for Shabbat prayers, we can arrange registration in advance.
🏃♀️ SUNDAY 14 MARCH - MARATHON DAY! 🏅
🏅 Marathon Start
Approximately 1.2-1.5 km away
15-20 minute walk
The marathon starts on Via dei Fori Imperiali, close to the Colosseum, making for an incredible setting to begin the challenge.
Imagine running through the streets of Rome with the Colosseum, ancient ruins and some of the world's most iconic landmarks surrounding you.
This isn't just a marathon. This is Rome.
Whether it's your first marathon or another milestone in your running journey, crossing that finish line will be a moment to remember forever.

After all the training, preparation and hard work, it's time to celebrate!
We'll come together for our post-marathon finale meal, a fabulous opportunity to relax, enjoy delicious food, share stories and celebrate the achievements of our runners.

✈️ What do I need to book myself? Are flights included?
Flights are the only thing you need to arrange yourself. They are not included in the package, giving you the flexibility to choose the airline and flight times that suit you.
If you’d like to collect your marathon bib and visit the Expo before Shabbat, we recommend a morning flight on Friday 12 March to give you plenty of time to arrive, check in and get to the Expo.
We take care of your marathon place, accommodation, meals and the other arrangements included in the package, you just book your flight and we’ll take care of the rest!
