Dr Romy Shulman

Chartered Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol) BPS

Romy is a chartered Psychologist with a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and an MSc in Psychological counselling. She has over fifteen years of experience in the mental health field. After 7 years at Chana, Romy has developed a particular expertise in infertility and the fertility treatment process, including the significant emotional impact this often has on a couple. Her extensive expertise also includes pregnancy and/or birth trauma, premature birth, baby loss, antenatal anxiety and fear of pregnancy. She also helps clients with generalised anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, gender identity challenges and trauma.

As an existential psychologist, she understands that difficult emotions like anxiety, fear, sadness, loneliness and anger are all part of being human, and that these feelings have meaning and purpose when we process and understand them. Rather than try to get rid of these emotions, she can help you explore and understand the challenges you are facing and develop the tools to make positive changes in your life.
