Candice Woolfson
Couples Lead
BA (Hons), MPhil (Cantab), MSc in Systemic, Family and Couples Psychotherapy
Candice is a UKCP accredited Systemic, Family and Couples Psychotherapist, having trained at King’s College London. She works with individuals, couples and families experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties and challenging life circumstances, helping them to improve communication, strengthen relationships and find ways forward together.
Candice has previously worked in the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and in a range of charities, and brings 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the charity sector. She has extensive experience supporting young people and families through complex emotional and relational difficulties, as well as supervising and supporting professionals in their work. Alongside her work at Chana, Candice facilitates therapeutic groups in a community setting, provides reflexive practice to staff working in charities, and has a small private practice.
Candice's systemic approach is collaborative and non-blaming. She is interested in bringing each person's experience into the room, while also exploring the patterns and relationships around them. This can be particularly helpful when couples are navigating something as complex and emotionally demanding as fertility difficulties, where partners may have different feelings, needs, and ways of coping.
Candice aims to create a warm, safe and supportive space where people can talk openly about what they are experiencing, explore challenges together and develop more connected, compassionate and hopeful ways of moving forward.
