Everyone’s experience is important and precious, and we appreciate you sharing your story with us. We would ideally like to be able to publish every story in the way that it is submitted, to enable your words to be read in the way that you have written them. However, we also hold in mind the experiences of visitors to our website, and how they may be affected by reading about someone else’s experiences, and we review every story accordingly. If necessary, we may edit your submission, both to preserve your anonymity and also to look after our readers. Occasionally, we may decide not to publish a story on our website at all. If this happens for you, please be assured that this is not in any way a reflection on the value of your experience, but a purely editorial decision made with the above considerations in mind.
