Carolyn Cohen is Chana’s Principal Social Worker.
Carolyn is an accredited and registered Social Worker, MSc, CQSW (1986 LSE) and is a member of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW). She is also an accredited infertility counsellor (AMBICA 2011) and is a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association.
Carolyn is also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP, MBACP) and has an Advanced Diploma as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor.
Carolyn has worked as a Social Worker and marriage counsellor since 1986. She has worked as an infertility counsellor since 1995. Carolyn has worked in both Statutory and Voluntary settings with individuals and couples.
She has a wide range of experience in working with people concerned about a variety of problems, including adults recovering from abuse experienced as a child/adolescent, trauma, anxiety, depression, and bereavement in addition to relationship issues. Carolyn has worked at the Royal Free Hospital, Brent Social Services, Jewish Care and the JMC.
In addition to her work at Chana, Carolyn also works as the lead counsellor at an NHS GP practice.
Carolyn's theoretical framework is humanistic integrative.
