Chana gives emotional and practical support to Jewish couples who are experiencing primary* or secondary* infertility.
Chana also provides guidance for women suffering particular gynaecological problems.
In addition Chana helps those who:
- are not sure if infertility is a problem for them and wish to discuss whether medical investigations are appropriate in their situation
- have thankfully become pregnant but are experiencing anxiety in the early stages of pregnancy
- understand that they will not be able to have children, in looking at and managing the feelings of loss associated with an opportunity they do not have, as well as looking at other options available
- are the close relatives or friends of those with fertility issues and would like to know how best to be supportive of them
- need information about ways of preserving fertility in the case of illness such as cancer
Chana is based in London, but its telephone counselling services also receive calls from across the UK, Israel, Europe, South Africa, the Americas and Australia.
